Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12-18. The Lincoln-Woodstock Interact club has been in existence for only a few years and in that time frame they have earned a Presidential Citation twice, performed domestic community service with the Plymouth Whole Village Family Resource Center, and participated in two international community service missions to Belize.
Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance.  Interact clubs are self-governing and financially independent, making it possible to choose and carry out service projects that the club cares about.  Interactors carry out two community service projects each year, including one that furthers international understanding and goodwill.  Interactors are donating relief supplies to victims or natural disasters, organizing fundraisers to purchase books for needy schools, and volunteering their time and energy in the community.  With more than 250,000 Interactors in over 120 countries and geographical areas, Interact is a worldwide phenomenon.  The goal is for Interactors to meet youth from around the world-and in their own school or community-who are interested in making the world a better place.

The Lincoln-Woodstock Interact club has been in existence for two years and in that time frame they have earned a Presidential Citation twice, performed domestic community service with the Plymouth Whole Village Family Resource Center, and participated in an international community service mission to Succotz, Belize, building a medical waste incinerator for the Good Shepherd Clinic, located on the Guatemalan border. Our students currently represent LinWood High School, the White Mountain School, the New Hampton School, and the San Bani school.  They are currently in the planning stages of a return trip to the Good Shepherd Clinic in Belize to build a children’s play area designed to entertain the many children who are seen at the clinic daily.

The Lincoln-Woodstock Interact Club runs a major Kancathon fundraiser each winter in cooperation with the LinWood Friends of Recreation.  Skiing, skating, and sledding participants solicit individual sponsors on a per run or per lap basis, or just with a specific amount.  Participants are treated to an outdoor winter barbeque, and top finishers in each category win a pair of skis, skates, and a Flexible Flyer sled.
